What’s the Viking experience at Geek Village?
At Geek Village Summer Fest, the Viking Zone is a full-on immersive Norse experience. It’s not just costumes and axes – it’s a living camp filled with warriors, blacksmiths, craftspeople, and rituals that bring ancient Nordic culture to life.
Whether you’re a fan of Vikings, Norse mythology, or just want to live like a shieldmaiden or raider for a day – you’ve found your clan.
What Can You Expect in the Viking Zone?

Who Runs the Camp?
We partner with experienced historical groups and LARP clans who know how to create an atmosphere that’s authentic, respectful, and wildly entertaining. Expect drakkars, furs, horns and stories that echo through the firelight.

1. Do I need Viking gear to join?
Not at all, but you’ll blend in better with a tunic or some leather straps!
2. Is this kid-friendly?
Yes. There are safe zones, child-friendly activities and storytelling sessions.
3. Is this historically accurate or fantasy-based?
A mix of both – think historical roots with a sprinkle of legend.
4. Can I take part in the battles?
Only if you’re trained. But you can watch up close or train in the basics.
5. Is this like a LARP?
Yes, parts of it are – and it’s open to beginners.
6. Can I buy Viking-themed merch?
Definitely. From handmade axes to rune stones, our market has it all.
7. What kind of food is there?
Meat, bread, stews, and yes – there’s mead.
8. What if it rains?
We’re Vikings. We embrace the storm.
